Pop-up clothing store raising vital funds for ChildHope!

There is a lot waste material within the fashion industry. Alex Noble designer to celebs such as Lady Gaga, Florence Welch, Kylie Minogue and founder of EMG Initiative wants to address this by designing new clothes using these waste materials. It is a means to help others, to open discussion and debate about issues that have been facing the garment industry for years. EMG wants to raise funds and awareness of children in the work force, child abuse, women’s rights, and access to justice and the fatal health and safety issues within production factories.

The initiative launches with the first project, Salvage T, which sees designers including Giles Deacon, Louise Gray, Claire Barrow, Martine Rose and Alex Mattsson contribute leftover print materials which are then turned into new silk and jersey t-shirts and dresses. The designs will be available in a pop-up store on Carnaby Street this summer with all funds going to ChildHope.
