In support of Tshwane North Outreach and Wolmer Community Project
Would you like to contribute to feeding one of 150+ families in Pretoria North area this festive season?
Please support Wolmer Community Project in this worthy cause. Every year, in addition to providing daily meals, the project aims to give something extra to the more that 150 families in their community over Christmas. Many of the families have little or no fixed income and depend on places like the Community Project to provide basic provisions (bread, vegetables, meat, clothing, etc). You will therefore understand that the need during the festive season goes beyond Christmas presents. All people deserve something special over this special time of the year and what better way for those of us, who are blessed with plenty, to share and bring a little shine to these poor souls’ lives. Have a look at the list of non-perishables below and, if you would like to help me, help THEM, please get in touch by completing the contact form at the bottom of this post.
If you live in the Tshwane/Pretoria Metropolitan area I will collect items and drop them off at the project in Bakenkloof Street on your behalf. You are welcome, also, to donate cash, which I will use to purchase the necessary items. Upon receiving your contact form, I will provide account details or arrange for pick up of items.
The list of food items per care package required by the project:
- 500g rice
- 410g tinned fruit
- 410g tinned green beans
- Instant custard powder/Ultra Mel longlife custard
If you can help with any or all of these items, please contact me immediately. The project informed me that they have not yet received enough of the items to help the needy in the community and the drive closes in early December, with handout of packages on 17 December.
Should you be able to contribute, please do so BEFORE 15 December. This will give me ample time to collect the items and drop it off before distribution.
