DON’T BIN THE BREAD-TAGS!! DONATE THEM!!!

Who would have known that those little plastic breadtags that we throw away can be useful to someone. Well, it can….if you collect them, instead of binning them, you can help a disabled person to get his or her very own wheelchair. You may wonder how this is possible. Well, the Sweethearts is a non-profit organization that collaborates with companies like Interwaste, The Polystyrene Recycling Company and Zibo in order to recycle these little plastic tags (and bottle tops). In exchange for 15kg bread-tags or 150kg bottle tops, the Sweethearts gets a wheelchair, which they then hand over to a disabled person who would otherwise be unable to afford this luxury (or, in my opinion, necessity).

So far the sweethearts have collected 1200 kg bread tags and 4500 kg bottle tops and provided 94 wheelchairs to people across South Africa.

!!!!YOU CAN HELP THEM!!!!

How? By collecting bread-tags and plastic bottle tops, finding a collection point near you and dropping it off. It’s as easy as that! You will be giving someone the joy of independence, YOU WILL BE SHARING THE GIFT OF MOVEMENT! As an added benefit, your contribution will be a way to ensure the longevity of the planet, making it possible for us to live in a cleaner, less polluted environment.
