Obakeng Motheogane informed me over the weekend that Motheo Home has flooded once again. The cause, of course, was the heavy rainfall experienced in the Bela-Bela area on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
This is the second time this has happened and last time they had to evacuate the premises, only to return and find that they have been burgled. Everything was stolen and the home was an empty shell. This happened in November last year.
Since then, Obakeng has worked tirelessly to replace all the stolen items. He is not THERE yet, and now, this flooding.
Have a look at the slideshow below. It shows Motheo Home BEFORE the flooding this weekend.
Obviously the problem is the roof, which will cost an arm and a leg to fix and the home simply does not have the funding.
So, if anyone is in or knows someone in the building trade or if you have experience and materials to fix their roof, please come forward and assist these children in their efforts to keep their place of safety SAFE and DRY.
If you can be of any assistance, please e-mail us here or complete the contact form below ASAP.
Thank you, in advance, for your support.
